The ship building and repairing base on Mazhou Island is located at the estuary of the Pearl River, near the western coast of Shenzhen and adjacent to Hongkong.

The base covers an area of 630,000m2,and occupies 3,400m of Pearl River shoreline. The base is well equipped with sophisticated and advanced production facilities, which include two large dry docks of 300,000dwt and over 300,000dwt, two floating docks, and a construction site for offshore engineering covering over 100,000 sqm with three berths, which guaranteed an annual output capacity of five jack-up platforms.
