Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam (DSR) is a leading ship repair and conversion yard in the Netherlands and one of the largest in Western Europe. Centrally located in one of the major ports of the world, the Port of Rotterdam, and with 250 employees, our location in Schiedam has three dry docks (one covered dry dock) and two floating docks at its disposal.

 

Services and markets

With a strong focus on repair and maintenance, DSR offers its repair, conversion, harbour and voyage services to a wide range of customers in markets including the offshore, yachting and dredging sectors. Our facilities include full size dry docks and covered facilities.

 

Certification

Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam continuously improves its service levels through use of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) certified management system. 

The shipyard has achieved a significant milestone, achieving ISO 9001:2008 (the successor to ISO 9001:2000) certification, demonstrating customers receive consistent high quality, reliable and efficient service. The certificate was presented by the auditor, Lloyd’s Register Nederland BV, on behalf of Lloyds Register Quality Assurance.

In addition Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam is one of only a few yards in the world to receive the ISO 14001:2004 certificate proving it carefully monitors and controls its environmental impact and has put in place the latest systems to minimise and improve its environmental performance.

ISO 3834‐2:2005 is one of the highest welding procedures available. It proves our accomplishment of comprehensive quality requirements for the welding of metallic materials. The certificate verifies compliance in consistency of performance and fulfilling of stated requirements. ​
