The Mauá Shipyard was responsible for the conversion and modernization of the Olinda Star semi-submersible platform, from Queiroz Galvão Óleo & Gás, the largest upgrade of a platform already made in Brazil, as well as other repair and modernization works for ships and sophisticated platforms. 

With regard to maritime accessibility, large investments in dredging have been made, increasing accessibility of the Access Channel to 11 meters depth, 140 meters wide and berths (piers 1 and 2) with 11 meters and 10 meters respectively.
